A Recipe for Marketing Fusion

In todays society we hear all these buzzwords that capture our imagination. The latest phrase to be coined is 'fusion'.

Not sure where it came about but you hear it everywhere..when talking about food .."this new dish is a fusion between eastern & western delights."

Even in Business...Mike Filsaime and Russel Brunson talk about marketing fusion secrets.. But what does it mean.

Dangers of Internet Marketing

For people who are introduced to internet marketing there is the inevitable information overload that needs to be overcome. We are told to start a blog..then told “oh you need traffic, and the best way is X then do this, buy this product it is the magic pill to all your ills.”

However a word of warning when jumping into marketing online and be very wary of falling into this trap….

One of the main issues with internet marketing is ..Internet marketing! There is a myth that the internet is a business. It is a myth that could cost you a lot of money and even lose you your business if you eventually make the leap to creating a fulltime online enterprise.

The truth of the matter is –I heard this from Russell Brunson- is that the internet is a type of media, like TV or radio to generate leads for your business. It is a mechanism of delivering the information to your potential clients. The fact that it can do this with great speed and efficiency has people mesmerized as this is the be all and end all.

The focus on online marketing although lucrative, takes away from other marketing channels that have made people millions for people offline for decades before the internet was even thought of. I am talking about Direct mail or mail order.

Before you shriek back in terror or completely right this off, many of the internet marketing strategies many of the experts use, they got from the mail order industry. From sending out a free report to follow up mail-The marketing of information products can use a number of channels and if you just focus on one method—you are leaving money on the table.

I speak from experience. My introduction to internet marketing came form an offline seminar I attended. The ‘Gurus’ I met I had never heard of prior to this event. Had hey not been marketing offline I and many others would never have known about them or the possibilities of building an online business effectively.

Which brings me to the next point –you need to market where your potential clients/customers are. Why do you think there are so many marketers online promoting ‘internet marketing’ products. Because these prospects are usually found online and are used to purchasing online.

What if you found that you had a totally loyal market in a niche that are hungry for a product you have some knowledge in. The catch being they are mostly offline, however are devoted subscribers to a magazine they purchase monthly. Would it be an idea to advertise in that publication-or even guide them to your webpage?

The same philosophy remain. .provide great value to a hungry market and sales copy techniques and you are on your way to marketing success. Also if you wish to deliver your product in a hard copy form-folder, bound report CD or DVD-the higher perceived value from your physical product and can bring in higher prices per transaction.

Moral of the story here is don’t discount other opportunities to attract greater growth in your business always be on the lookout of ways to grow personally and professionally and you will always be one step ahead of your competition.
